On Tuesday, February 28, 2023 project RAPIDE comes to an end after two years of implementation.
The finalisation of the project was marked with the Final Meeting of RAPIDE partners held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 and Final Conference – Meaningful Innovations in Education held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the University of Rijeka with participation of all partners: Open University from UK, Delft University of Technology from the Netherlands (online), Goethe University from Germany, and from Croatia - University of Rijeka, and School of Medicine and Faculty of Organization and Informatics of the University of Zagreb.
The goal of this important project was to develop, implement and share the innovative pedagogies, and aligned assessment for relevant and inclusive digital education in order to deal with COVID-19 and similar crises and to support meaningful digital transformation of HEIs – emphasised Professor Marta Žuvić, project partner and Vice-Rector of the University of Rijeka in her opening of the Conference.
Within her welcome speech, Professor Nina Begičević Ređep, Dean of FOI, once again expressed her satisfaction with RAPIDE strategic partnership which enabled that the project results have already been used within FOI enabling further improvement of FOI teaching. Flipped classroom and work-based learning approaches are already used at FOI systematically and further trainings and improvements were enabled within RAPIDE. It is very satisfying that these endeavours will be continued during the next few years within new project iLed coordinated also by Professor Divjak at FOI.
The Conference officially started with the plenary presentation of project partners, activities and results, as well as of the importance of innovative approaches to teaching, assessment, learning analytics and the strategic implementation of the innovative approaches that was held, on behalf of all project partners, Professor Blaženka Divjak – project coordinator.
Project RAPIDE is an excellent example how with successful cooperation and intensive work of all partners can be achieved above what was originally „promised“ within project – qualitatively, quantitatively and sustainably stated Professor Divjak with the fact that the project results include the impressive list of publications, more that 200 participants of RAPIDE MOOC and, in addition, more that 100 participants within different workshops and events organised by project partners at the end of 2022.
Therefore, the conference enabled participants the hands-on experiences with project within workshops based on the sustainable project results published within open e-Course: https://learn.rapide-project.eu
Furthermore, all participants were enabled to work in innovative tool for learning design that was designed and created by the team of Professor Divjak within the FOI Laboratory for Learning Analytics and Academic Analytics. The tool was used and further improved within RAPIDE activities and is available open and free via https://learninig-design.eu
In the first part of the conference their experiences and inspirational innovative methods in education presented Professor Bart Rienties (The Open University) – on learning analytics and Associate Prof Bojana Ćulum Ilić (University of Rijeka) on community integrated learning method.
The conference was attended by around 100 participants from HEIs, schools and educational decision-makers.
Participants were presented the Final Booklet and project video-stories also published within project website and developed by RAPIDE partners to mark the end of their successful cooperation: https://rapide-project.eu/en/final-conference
