On Monday, September 6th 2021, the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI) hosted Consortium meeting of the international project RAPIDE - Relevant assessment and pedagogies for inclusive digital education, coordinated by FOI in cooperation with five European partners, two of which are from Croatian universities. The coordinator of the project is professor Blaženka Divjak.

The 24-month project funded under the Erasmus + program of the European Commission in the total amount of 219,085.00 euro started in March 2021.

The goal of this important project is to co-create, implement and share innovative pedagogies and aligned assessment for relevant and inclusive digital education in order to deal with the COVID-19 induced and similar crises and to support meaningful digital transformation of HEIs.

In addition to the Faculty of Organization and Informatics as coordinator, the project involves leading European universities in the field of informatics and related sciences and educational sciences: The Open University from the United Kingdom, Delft University of Technology from the Netherlands, Goethe University from Germany, Faculty of Medicine University of Zagreb and the University of Rijeka in Croatia.

During the project the partners are working on 4 big results, the first two planned will be completed by the end of the year. The first result is Open educational resources and an e-course for the flipped classroom (FC) and the work-based learning (WBL - work based learning).

The partner’s meeting was held in a hybrid variant. In the first part of the meeting, the partners went through the planned activities and results and discussed the dates and manner of holding the next project meetings.

Following the partnership meeting, the first of three planned days of learning, teaching and training activities was held. On the first day, the partners were introduced through interactive workshops with the concept of activities, flipped classroom and work-based learning. On other days partners will critically reflect and discuss findings, alignment to local practice and recommendations for upgrade through case studies and group work. The results will be presented and disseminated and will be further used and disseminated in institutional workshops.
